SHINING ROBOTICS
Purchasing & Integration FAQ
Clarify configurations, interfaces and purchasing scope. Follow the links after each answer for the relevant model or integration guidance.
What does Shining Robotics provide?
Mobile robot platforms for embodied AI and custom robot development, with mobility hardware, embedded systems, motion control and standard interfaces for customer or third-party intelligence.
What is the company name and location?
Shining Robotics (Taizhou) Co., Ltd. is based in Taizhou, Zhejiang, China.
What ROS support is available?
Hardware drivers for SR-C400, SR-C500, SR-C600, SR-C800 and SR-X700 support ROS 1 / ROS 2. Confirm distributions, operating systems and validated environments during requirements review.
Are driver and algorithm source codes supplied?
Standard platforms include ROS drivers, driver source code and TCP/IP interface documentation. Algorithm source code is not supplied. Agree other software, firmware and intellectual property per JDM project.
Are algorithms included with standard platforms?
Standard platforms include localization, navigation and obstacle-avoidance algorithms. Algorithms and deliverables for embedded-only platforms require separate confirmation.
Which models have an embedded-only option?
C400, C500, C600, C800 and X700 can all be supplied as embedded-only platforms. Confirm sensors, algorithms, power and interfaces against requirements.
Can customer intelligence or navigation be integrated?
Connect customer or third-party intelligence through ROS drivers or TCP/IP interfaces. Confirm motion control, feedback and algorithm integration against the selected configuration.
How do SR-C500 and SR-C600 differ?
C500 measures 500×500×310 mm with 50 kg payload and 35 kg weight. C600 measures 600×450×260 mm with 50/150 kg payload options, approx. 45/55 kg weight and 20/30 Ah battery options. Review mounting and load distribution.

Do both SR-C600 versions have the same dimensions and speed?
Yes. Both 50 kg and 150 kg versions measure 600 × 450 × 260 mm with a maximum navigation speed of 0.8 m/s. They weigh approx. 45 kg and 55 kg, a difference of about 10 kg.
Are SR-C600 battery and payload choices linked?
Battery voltage is 24 V, with 20 Ah or 30 Ah options. Payload is a separate 50 kg or 150 kg configuration choice. Confirm the supply combination in the quotation.
What is the SR-X700 motion architecture?
SR-X700 is a 4WD/4WS Mobile Robot Chassis with four-wheel drive and steering, 150 kg rated payload and 1.4 m/s maximum speed. Confirm control capabilities against configuration.
How should I choose between SR-C600 and SR-C800?
Both offer a 150 kg configuration, but differ in dimensions, weight, battery and mounting space. C600 measures 600×450×260 mm; C800 measures 800×550×260 mm. Review mounting, load distribution and operating conditions.
Who can apply for academic pricing?
Universities, labs, research groups and teaching teams worldwide can apply for C400/500/600/800 and X700, from 1 unit. Describe research or teaching use for review and a private quotation.
Is an institutional email or proof required for academic requests?
An institutional email is encouraged but not mandatory. No proof upload or registration is required initially; our team may verify details during follow-up.
Are academic prices or discounts public?
Prices and discounts are provided privately after review. Standard delivery and support follow the configuration; customization, algorithm adaptation and onsite support are quoted separately.
What are the JDM stages and reference milestones?
Requirements confirmation, development and integration, prototype validation, and production introduction. Reference milestones: functional prototype in 1 month, design finalization in 3 months, and mass production in 6 months. These are cumulative target milestones from confirmed requirements and solution for projects that substantially reuse existing platforms. Agree the schedule against the project scope and solution. Agree responsibilities, deliverables, source-code scope, intellectual property and acceptance per project.
What is the warranty period?
12 months. Commencement, coverage and detailed terms follow the quotation and contract.
What is needed for a quotation?
Start with your email and a brief description of what you need. The model can be undecided; company, name, expected quantity and attachments can follow later. Academic requests require quantity and a description of research or teaching use. We can clarify environment, payload, load distribution, upper modules and interfaces during follow-up.
When will I receive a reply?
We reply within 2 working days. This is an initial response; quotations follow requirements and configuration confirmation. The inquiry is saved before email acknowledgments are sent. Contact sales@shiningrobotics.com to add information.
Can products under development be ordered directly?
Refer to official releases for the status and specifications of products such as SR-O700. Products under development are not presented as immediately deliverable.
How is the lead time for an international order confirmed?
Confirm model, configuration, quantity, destination and required documents first. Production, preparation and shipping arrangements are agreed in the quotation and order. We do not assume worldwide stock availability; transit and customs conditions also affect arrival dates.
How are battery shipping and compliance documents arranged?
Tell us the destination, shipping method and documents you require. Confirm battery transport documents, packaging requirements and applicable compliance materials for the specific configuration and carrier. Do not assume that an unverified certificate or document is included with every platform.
Does an international quotation include freight, duties and onsite services?
Refer to the written quotation. Agree currency, trade terms, responsibility for freight and duties, acceptance, and the scope of remote or onsite services. Additional integration and onsite support are assessed separately and are not assumed to be included.
