SHINING ROBOTICS
Robotics Glossary
Use these definitions alongside the selected platform’s configuration, interfaces and delivery scope.
Standard robot platform
A mobile foundation with defined configurations and mounting interfaces. Complete application functions depend on upper modules, software and integration.
4WS4WD
Four-wheel steering and four-wheel drive. Motion modes depend on mechanics, control software and configuration.
AGV
Automated guided vehicle, typically used for material transport. Guidance and autonomy depend on the specific product.
AMR
Autonomous mobile robot. Confirm localization, planning, environmental response, safety and fleet functions for the product.
JDM/ODM
Joint design and manufacturing, or original design manufacturing. Responsibilities, deliverables, acceptance and intellectual property are governed by agreement.
ROS compatibility
Software or interface integration with a ROS ecosystem. Confirm distribution, drivers, messages and tested scope; compatibility does not imply universal plug-and-play operation.
LiDAR-SLAM
Simultaneous localization and mapping using LiDAR observations. Performance depends on environment, sensors and algorithms.
